If you are an unbeliever, and think God is a myth, you will not know what I am talking about! It’s all rubbish, or a fairy tale! You are therefore dead in your trespasses and sins and the god of this world (Satan) has blinded you.
The Grace of God to a believer is wonderful, for it means unmerited favour. It means that you know something great has happened in your life to bring you to God, through the saving knowledge of the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. It means that you have done nothing yourself, a sinner, to make this possible. You have been called by the free Grace of God to be in the family of God, and been forgiven for all your sins. Christ has paid your sin-debt on the cross of Calvary and suffered and bled and died in your place. You have known true repentance and received such a gift of eternal life.
If you have never known this experience, then you are still in your sins, and therefore unforgiven. Sadly, the majority are still in this place, perhaps even attending a church, never knowing the true gospel of Christ. Many are brought up believing they are good people, but in God’s eyes, they are still outside His Kingdom. They have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. God cannot even look upon them, for they are still in their sins, and have no desire after Him.
So how can one know the Grace of God? It is a free gift from the Father who draws to the Son through the Holy Spirit. God says that if we seek Him, we will find Him. God can open your eyes to the truth and open your heart also, and bring you as a humble sinner on your knees in prayer, begging His forgiveness. He is Holy and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. He cannot and will not accept false worship. Man has decided that worship can be in any form, but this is false, as the worship must be God glorifying and in truth – the truth of the sovereignty of God in choosing a people for Himself to love and serve Him.
So what is the Grace of God? It is the wonderful, free, unmerited favour of God to lost, ruined, hell-deserving sinners, who are all guilty. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. We see grace in the eternal choice of His people. We see it in the covenant of grace. We see it in the union of Christ and His people. We see grace in the Saviour of sinners, as He is their Prophet, Priest and King, and Surety of His people. We see it in the Holy Spirit, working lovingly, graciously in salvation in sinners’ hearts, showing them their need, quickening them, leading them to the Saviour.
We cannot actually see Grace but we can see fruit in a believer’s life.
We cannot see the wind, but we can see the effects of it. So it is with a true believer.
If you are doubting what is written here, then please get yourself a Bible (King James Version) and read it, desiring to know the truth, which sets free.
God, in His mercy, may then draw you to Himself and bring you to His feet in repentance, crying for forgiveness.
THIS IS A CHRISTIAN TRACT.
