“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
I have always noted, from observation, that those who hate God and shout the loudest against His word, prove, beyond doubt, that they are trying to hide their foolishness with loud denials and laughs. They KNOW the Bible is right, and the louder their scorn, and anger, the more they prove they KNOW Scripture is right and they are wrong!
And so, they scorn the fact that God made light INDEPENDENT of a light-source such as the sun. God simply said “Let there be light” – and there it was, plain as day (excuse the pun)! Atheists want it explained scientifically, but we can’t! God said it and there it was, separating day and night, with no help at all from either a sun or a moon. Light – without a light source. Can’t accept it? Tough! God said it, so it is true.
It means that before light was created, everything was pitch black. Where did light come from? From absolute nothing, not just ‘nothing’ (which usually means the absence of something). What is ‘absolute nothing’? No idea; nobody knows! All I know is that God created everything from absolute nothing, which is a state of existence we cannot possibly understand or qualify. Even so – out of it came light, and everything else created by God.
Absolute nothing is in the realm of creation, which is limited to time. The uncreated Heaven is where God has His abode, filled with light and glory, in eternity. He did not just create everything from absolute nothing, but also, in Heaven, he elected some to salvation. And those who were chosen were saved, and will continue to be saved, until the very end of time. Atheists do not understand that, either. They shout against it, because they KNOW it is true. And so they shout some more…
