United Christian Witness deplore the ruling of Reading County Court against Susanne Wilkinson, for not allowing 2 gay men to have a room at her Swiss Bed and Breakfast in Cookham, Berkshire, in March 2010. She rightly refused to let them stay in a double room of her own home, because of her Christian and Biblical convictions, and this has now been held to her charge. She would not be silenced about her God-honouring convictions, and neither will genuine Bible believing Christians, whatever the verdict of Courts. It seems that disgraceful Equality laws should now determine what happens in your own home, and who you should or shouldn’t allow in. The current ruling in a County Court exposes flagrant breaches in these laws, which forces belief in ‘equality’ at the expense of every other. This is a travesty, which is both intolerable and simply unacceptable. For Christians belief in God, and His Word, will never be exchanged for belief in equality.
Whether the authorities like it or not, homosexuality is a sin before God, just like every other sin. The barrenness and desolation of the Dead Sea, where once stood the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, bears indisputable testimony to this fact. The Bible unambiguously teaches that those who were guilty of this sin in these cities incurred Divine condemnation and judgement. And God Himself tells us why “because they committed abomination before Me.” (Ezekiel 16:50). Today the barrenness and desolation of the Dead Sea, where once these cities stood, bears lasting testimony to the fact that God is not mocked. Try as men will but the unerring truth of God’s Word can never be hushed up about what it says about the practice of homosexuality. Every genuine Bible believing Christian accepts what the truth says about it, without reservation, because God has said so. God will not tolerate it and neither will they.
It is no exaggeration to say that society is fast becoming a morass of moral corruption. Is it of any wonder? Through its legislative and equality agenda the Government, homosexual activists and gay rights groups, seem to think that they are wiser than God. They frame and approve of laws, that are a gross violation of the Divine order and which the Divine lawgiver will not tolerate. No wonder the UK is in the desperate state that it’s in. It is fast becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Along with this press release, the United Christian Witness wholeheartedly endorses and reaffirms everything that was recently said by the Moderator (Rev James Gracie) of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) to the General Assembly in Edinburgh (copy enclosed), which he gave in his address under “Sacred verses Gay Marriage.”
