Letter to Victoria Debyshire at the BBC.
Dear Victoria
Re: Freedom of Speech and Censorship has to be a major election issue
There are 33 million Christians in this country and yet the values and oppressive intentions of all the main political parties towards Christians is a glaring omissions in the BBC's coverage of the General Election 2015.
Labour in their Manifesto 2015 say we will "We will take a zero-tolerance approach to hate crime, such as anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. We will challenge prejudice before it grows, whether in schools, universities or on social media. And we will strengthen the law on disability, homophobic, and transphobic hate crime." (p.54)
Thus Labour will further censor free-speech and criticism of Islam and Homosexuality, with criminal penalties for those who do.
How can we not have the freedom to criticise the barbaric acts done in the name of Islam or the draconian legislation of homosexuals and their sycophants?
Why should they have special rights when their intentions are overtly hatred to others? It's certainly not a moral right.
Labour's 2015 intentions are consistent with the Labour's Manifesto 2010 (p 5:4) pledge to criminalise criticism of homosexual behaviour and laws and (Christian Institute, 6 April 2010)
Also, the Conservatives with their revised Prevent Strategy want to criminalise anyone who opposes or rejects British Values (aka UK laws). For Christians this means that objecting to pro-gay laws and speaking out against the homosexual behaviour and lifestyle, as God commands, will be considered to be an extremist act - another layer of censorship and banning of free speech.
How can you as a 'premier league' BBC Journalist ignore these policies and the intentions of all the main political parties, including UKIP who also caveat their policies with the acceptance of British Values as defined by Theresa May in the Prevent Strategy and which were ruthlessly recently applied by OFSTED by shutting down Durham Free School?
Is there no vestige of true journalistic integrity at the BBC that you will not challenge this censorship and constraint on free speech or are you so in the pocket of Stonewall and the political parties that you only follow their political topics and agenda?
What true debate are you orchestrating for the General Election 2015 or are you just the puppet of the government?
Freedom of Speech and Censorship has to be a major election issue, even if the BBC instinctively wants to support the position of the political parties to criminalise those who have the guts to oppose and reject this perverted politically defined morality.
Yours sincerely
James
