On BBC1 Breakfast News this morning the granddaughter of the founder of the Donkey Sanctuary, established 40 years ago, was interviewed in the discussion and debate of the value of a charity’s work and whether people need to think more before they give as there are more ‘important’ causes.
The speaker from the Donkey Sanctuary said that their world wide operation receives an annual income of £21 million and has reserves or a similar amount!
Apparently the charity’s value is that they support poor people with donkeys to carry water, fair enough. It made me think though, if the value of Bible Theology Ministries work was measured by the gifts and donations it received, donkeys would be rulers of the universe!
