Confirmation of United Christian Protest & Witness...against same-sex marriage - Scottish Parliament (Edinburgh) - Thursday 8th December 2011 - 9.30am

I wish to inform all friends and brethren that there will be a public witness & protest outside the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on Thursday 8th December beginning at 9.30am. Friday 9th December is the closing date for the submission of applications on same-sex marriage proposals being considered by our dizzy and confused MSP's in Edinburgh.
I would confirm that I have been to the Police Unit at the Parliament to inform them of what was happening, and seek their approval for the Protest and Witness to go ahead. After providing a Unit Officer with various details/information etc, formal permission was granted.
There is a designated place for such events, just at the front of the Parliament building. The Officer informed me that literature can be given out and speeches are allowed – but not with any kind of PA system. (You will be informed of who the speakers are in due course).
Needless to say, this is a most serious issue. Indeed, it can be argued that were the changes envisaged to be implemented it would have a most profound effect on the moral and spiritual condition of our nation. Christians must make their voice heard with as much, and with even greater, vigour than the gay lobby. The latter is certainly mustering its forces against God's Word. One need only examine the representations that have already been submitted to realise that Satan is determined to overthrow the Christian heritage of our country. We have the Captain of our Salvation on our side. He surely calls us to resist the devil and to stand fast in such a day.
Although the closing date for the 14 week consultation period is 9th December 2011, I should add that the United Christian Protest against same-sex marriage is but the beginning of a vigorous and active campaign against the Scottish Parliament's blasphemous proposals, which will continue until they have been completely ditched. The course they are taking is both destructive and divisive, and is an appalling disgrace to everything that marriage stands for, in the proper sense, in Scottish society. MSP's in the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh should be ashamed of themselves in what they are attempting to do. God will not be mocked.
I would urge you to make contact with your local MSP, in person and by writing, and let them know that you strongly object to what they are proposing and oppose any attempt to redefine marriage. Responses, which must be made by 9th December 2011, can be sent by e-mail, to
In the light of the above I would urge you to be present on Thursday 8th December 2011 to confront our public servants with the truth of God's Word, and make it clearly known what we think of their scandalous proposals. I am happy for you to circulate this letter, far and wide, and would ask you to inform as many people/organisations etc as you can about what is happening.
Further, I urge that you would pray that God would intervene in this as he has done in similar situations in the past.
